Each year, the Club organizes a picnic for all trail overseers, trail crew members, and their families or (very) close friends. From time to time, we set up other social functions, too. Check ’em out!

PATC Training Opportunities

Each PATC district in Shenandoah National Park offers overseers and others who are interested in trail construction and maintenance the opportunity to participate in a trails management workshop. Additionally, the Club offers training for traditional (that is, manually-operated) tools, grip hoist use, and stone work.

Shenandoah National Park Activities

Events: 2

Shenandoah National Park, coordinating with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and PATC, offers two chainsawyer certification courses each year. From time to time, the Park also offers projects for volunteers, such as those involving removal of invasive plant species, and trail or hiking promotional events.
