Bill has been a friend of all A.T. backpackers and hikers for years. He routinely volunteers his time to help and is known as a certified Trail Angel. Additionally, he has worked with the South District and its managers for at least the past four years, helping locate and remove blowdowns. Bill and his wife, Sandy, are overseers of two sections of the A.T. in the South District.
