You are entering the Web Gateway of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club members who maintain the Appalachian Trail in the South District of Shenandoah National Park.

The 45 miles of the A.T. in this District offer a more remote experience than elsewhere in the Park, despite the presence of Skyline Drive, Loft Mountain, and Dundo Picnic Grounds.

In fact, there is proportionately more federally designated wilderness here than in the other SNP districts.
