SNP Rock Outcrop Management Plan

On October 1, 2007, a Rock Outcrop Management Plan and Environmental Assessment for Shenandoah National Park was released for public review.

Subsequent to the release of the Environmental Assessment, the National Park Service determined that there were a variety of technical problems that require revisions to the document.

Therefore, public review of the Shenandoah National Park Rock Outcrop Management Plan and Environmental Assessment issued on October 1, 2007, is suspended as of October 17, 2007, pending issuance of a new Environmental Assessment. Comments that have been received to date will be retained and considered as the planning process continues.

The public will be notified when the new management plan and environmental assessment is released and a new 30 day public comment period will begin. No date for release of the Environmental Assessment has been set.
